MICROPIGMENTATION AFTERCARE Immediately after the procedure the area treated will look much darker and much more defined (as if were”painted on”) than the final results. Be prepared for the colour to be significantly lighter (about 80% lighter) and the overall appearance much softer and more natural after the healing occurs. It will take time for this transition, based on how quickly the outer layer of your skin exfoliates. Usually the exfoliation (peeling, flaking) process occurs about 4 to 5 days and will be complete at about day 7. At that point the contrast between the initial intense and dark colour and the new softer and lighter colour may be such that you may be very disappointed. Do not worry! It is expected and normal, and you will be receiving a second application, a “perfection session” in a few weeks. At that time SHAPE and COLOUR will be adjusted to your liking. We can add very easily, but it is much more difficult to remove! You must wait at least 4 weeks between applications.
